The Coors Event Centre
The Coors Event Centre is a venue in downtown Saskatoon that hosts various kinds of events. Concerts, banquets, and other special events are held in this venue which has established itself as a vital part of Saskatoon’s music and entertainment community.
The Coors Event Centre is a place where you can see both local talent and some of the biggest names in the music industry! While this establishment was originally named The Odeon, it has evolved into the Coors Event Centre, which is Molson Coors’ biggest venue in Canada!
Its legacy extends beyond the legendary singers that have graced the stage, especially since the Coors Event Centre has evolved into a unique venue that can accommodate events of any kind or size.
This is also the only venue in Saskatchewan that can alter its capacity to accommodate the needs of practically every musician passing through town, allowing Saskatchewan residents to hear their favorite popular musicians at reasonable prices.
Capitol Music Club
The Capitol Music Club was founded in late April 2014 by four high school friends, Matt, Mark, Leo, and Mitch. The Capitol, located in downtown Saskatoon, hosts some of Saskatchewan’s most incredible live entertainment.
The Capitol offers an excellent menu of in-house prepared pub fare, focusing on fresh, handcrafted items and regular lunch and dinner specials. There’s something for everyone with up to 23 draught lines, and beer and wine options!
Their top objective is to provide excellent entertainment to Saskatoon in all forms. The owners also delight in providing a platform for our new talent to develop and demonstrate their abilities in a public setting.
The Bassment
Located in the center of downtown Saskatoon is The Bassment, a fantastic live jazz and heritage music venue. Each weekend kicks off with Piano Friday, a no-cover event that features live music, refreshments, and a guranateed good time from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm.
They have roughly two to four shows each week, but during the busy season The Bassment will host up to six shows weekly. The Bassment offers the most outstanding live music experience possible, with excellent acoustics, ambiance, drinks, and cuisine. The doors usually open one hour before showtime for each event.
Looking to visit the Bassment? Frequent performers at this venue include Mike Lynch, an alt-country musician from St. Catharine’s who has played numerous music festivals, Ray Elliot, whose music has graced CBC radio stations as well as film and theatre soundtracks, and The Local Group, a Saskatchewan based band known for their tight harmonies and folk vibes.
Amigos Cantina
After opening in 1988 Amigos Cantina made a name for itself as one of Saskatoon’s best music venues. This music venue and restaurant boasts some of the best Tex-Mex food in Canada according to the National Post.
This venue is located just off Broadway Avenue and is a short walk from Saskatoon’s downtown core. In addition to being conveniently located, the open layout of Amigo’s Cantina ensures that all guests are able to find space and enjoy whichever show they’ve decided to attend!
